RFID 2004 - Technical SummaryThis document is a format and structure sample of the Technical Summary volume of the major report RFID 2004. It shows all of the structure of the actual report. The data, however, has been changed. MOST OF THE DATA IN THIS SAMPLE IS FAKE. Extensive text material has also been truncated after a few lead-in words. Data tables have been chopped off. The purpose of the sample is to allow a potential buyer to determine the type and depth of information provided in the report. Because of the eliminated material, this sample is substantially reduced in size from the original report section, which is over 100 pages long. This document is still 65 physical pages long and is presented here as 22 web pages. To make reviewing the sample manageable, two approaches have been implemented: 1. You can go from page to page using the PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons on each page. 2. You can start at the Table of Contents and link directly to each web page. Use your browser BACK button to go back to the Table of Contents.

ALL RIGHTS IN THE IMAGE, CONTENT AND PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL IN THIS REPORT ARE RESERVED. NO PART OF THIS WORK MAY BE REPRODUCED OR COPIED IN ANY FORM OR BY ANY MEANS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: GRAPHIC, ELECTRONIC, MECHANICAL, PHOTOGRAPHIC, OR AUDIO METHODS, WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE AUTHOR.
SPECIAL COPY AUTHORIZATIONSThis document is provided as a working data source and intellectual property tool. It is expected that to gain optimum use of the information, some material may need to be reaggregated and shared with others in a manner specific to each reader’s situation. The provisions of this section are made to support this purpose. AN EXPLICIT COPY AUTHORIZATION IS PROVIDED TO PURCHASERS OF THE REPORT TO “EXTRACT ELEMENTS” OF THE REPORT, “REAGGREGATE” THE EXTRACTED INFORMATION, “COPY” AND “DISTRIBUTE” THE REAGGREGATED INFORMATION FOR “LIMITED ANALYSIS USE” ONLY. Specifically: “Extract" means to cut data or statements electronically from the read only disk version of the document. No authorization is given to copy any of the files from the data disk to any hard drive, active memory, file server or application program as complete files or complete sections of the provided data. “Elements” mean functionally related material. An example would be a row from a table or section of an outline. An entire table or outline is not considered an element. “Reaggregate” means to combine elements in a different order from which they appear in the source document. Making a list which shows company competitors would be a typical example. This reaggregation may be done using application programs such as data bases or spread sheets. “Copy” means to make either an electronic or hard copy of the information in the reaggregated form. “Distribute” means to send the reaggregated information to others. This may be done as hard copy or may be by file transfer or e-mail. “Limited” means a controlled set of users. It specifically means the information can not be made applicable to a general audience, ie. the Internet, or even full access on a company Intranet or Virtual Private Network. One example. An attorney uses RFID 2004 to do a preliminary patent search. They cut out 40 patent citations from the RFID 2004 data base. They send this to 4 named engineers at a client site. This is acceptable. Another example. An engineering group takes excerpts from RFID 2004 maps and tables for New York and New Jersey. They post this on their web site. This is not acceptable. Third example. The engineering group uses the information in the maps and tables to create its own description of RFID activity in New York and New Jersey. This is acceptable. “Analysis Use” means use directly by the recipient as a data source to make business decisions. The reaggregated information cannot be recopied and circulated further. This means it shall not be presented, verbatim, in reports, sales material, news letters, briefing notes etc. intended for republication to third party users.

A METHOD USED THROUGHOUT THIS REPORT IS THE TRANSLATION OF WORDING FOUND IN ISSUED PATENTS TO LANGUAGE TYPICALLY FOUND IN TECHNICAL REPORTS. ANOTHER METHOD USED THROUGHOUT THIS REPORT IS SUMMARIZATION. IN TRANSLATING AND SUMMARIZING, SUBSTANTIAL CONTENT HAS BEEN LEFT OUT. IN DETERMINING WHICH MATERIAL IS SIGNIFICANT FOR THE SUMMARIES AND SELECTING LANGUAGE TO REPHRASE SECTIONS, SUBSTANTIAL JUDGMENT HAS BEEN APPLIED BY THE AUTHOR. THIS JUDGMENT IS TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL, NOT LEGAL. THE PRECISE DESCRIPTIONS WHICH THE LEGAL PATENT LANGUAGE ATTEMPTED TO CAPTURE ARE NOT MAINTAINED. FURTHERMORE, NO ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE TRANSLATION OF ANY PATENT. THEREFORE, NONE OF THE MATERIAL PRESENTED HERE SHOULD BE RELIED ON TO REPRESENT THE PATENT IN ANY LEGAL PROCEEDING OR TO UNDERSTAND THE LEGAL POSITION OF THE PATENT, NOR SHOULD IT BE RELIED ON AS THE SOLE OR FINAL BASIS FOR MAKING BUSINESS OR TECHNICAL DECISIONS. ALL STATEMENTS OF ANALYSIS ARE THE OPINIONS OF THE AUTHOR. WHILE CARE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO ASSURE QUALITY IN THE ANALYSIS, ERRORS MAY BE PRESENT. THE AUTHOR ACCEPTS NO LIABILTY FOR ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN THIS DOCUMENT. THE DOCUMENT IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. HIGH IMPACT IP AND BRUCE NAPPI HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE DOCUMENT, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND/OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS. SHOULD THE SOFTWARE PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION. IN NO EVENT SHALL HIGH IMPACT IP'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES (OTHER THAN AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW IN CASES INVOLVING PERSONAL INJURY) EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00). THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS WILL APPLY EVEN IF THE ABOVE STATED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. |
